Спортивный планер Антонов А-9 А-9 - одноместный рекордный планер-паритель конструкции О.К. Антонова. Построен в 1948 году. В течение пяти лет выпускался в Новосибирске небольшими сериями для спортивных целей ДОСААФ СССР. Всего было построено 27 экземпляров. А-9 выполнен по схеме - свободнонесущий высокоплан. Планер А-9 являлся дальнейшим развитием планера РФ-7 и предназначался для всех видов парящего полета в любых метеорологических условиях. Конструктор планера отказался от выступающей лыжи, и посадка производилась непосредственно на днище фюзеляжа, окованное стальным полозом. Фюзеляж планера имел хорошо обтекаемую форму овального сечения с заостренной нижней частью в районе касания планером земли и хвостовой частью, переходящей в киль. В каркас фюзеляжа входили 23 шпангоута, стрингеры, лыжная балка и пол кабины. Фонарь кабины состоял из переднего неподвижного козырька и съемной плексигласовой крышки, имевшей с левой стороны откидную форточку. Сиденье пилота могло передвигаться по горизонтали. Крыло состояло из прямоугольного центроплана, жестко связанного с фюзеляжем, и двух отъемных трапециевидных консолей с округлениями. Оно имело по всему размаху модифицированный профиль P-III. Конструкция - двухлонжеронная, деревянная, с полотняной обшивкой.

A new study of tank warfare used in the Soviet offensive of Operation Bagration , which destroyed Army Group Center. Operation Bagration , the 1944 summer campaign on the Russian Front, has been called “Hitler's Greatest Defeat.” The operation involved substantial tank and armored vehicles on both sides but the German forces were severely hampered by the transfer of dozens of Panzer divisions to France to repel an expected Allied invasion. Forced to make hard decisions, German tank forces in the central Belarus sector were weak compared to the heavy concentration of Panzers in northern Ukraine. The Red Army exploited this vulnerability, crushing Army Group Center, and pushing beyond the Soviet frontier into Poland and East Prussia. With this crucial victory secured, the Red Army conducted successive offensives beyond the Carpathian Mountains, arriving at the Vistula river in Poland, and forcing Romania to switch sides.
