We can say that when physical objects are embedded with communication technology and able to sense and interact with external or internal environment, it is IoT. In other words, Internet of Things is a system of interconnected device platform that collects data and transfer data automatically using wireless technology, where devices can be any anything having the ability to collect data and transfer them on Internet like connected medical devices, biochips, sensors, smartphones, gadgets, etc.

IoT security involves protecting the reliability, usability, safety, and integrity of the IoT network and IoT data. Actual IoT security downfalls a variability of threats from incoming or distribution on an IoT network. The prime goals of IoT security are integrity, confidentiality, and availability. These three supporting pillars of IoT security are frequently characterized as CIA trio.

- Integrity: Assuring and maintaining the consistency and accurateness of data. The purpose of integrity is to assure that the data in IoT are changed by only authorized individuals.
- Confidentiality: The meaning of confidentiality is to shield valuable data from unauthorized folks. Confidentiality assures that the data are accessible only to the authorized and intended people.
- Availability: The purpose of availability in IoT security is to assure that the IoT resources, IoT services, and IoT data are uninterruptedly accessible to the authentic workers.
