Cyberspace touches practically everything and everyone when many everyday communications depend on information communication technologies. Cybersecurity is a broad and complex topic that has a far-reaching impact on users, companies, governments, and other entities around the world. This book is divided into five chapters of discussion. These chapters, and the issues explored within them, may at first glance seem disparate, but closer examination reveals their interconnectedness. Each chapter has a “Learning Objectives” section to define the expected goal describing what the reader will be able to learn. Each chapter also includes a “Self-Test” consisting of questions designed to determine if the reader has learned the essential information.

Security incidents continue to rise across the financial markets and other key industry sectors and will continue to be a top-of-mind item for individuals, businesses, governments, and industry regulators as the number of high-profile attacks on organizations increases. Knowing the facts is critical to crime prevention efforts. It also helps in the creation of tools and strategies to combat cybercriminals.
