ESP32 and SPA 2, double 6, 55 modules are 3.3 volt compatible controller boards. and I have been using these controller boards and IoT based projects for controlling electrical devices from anywhere in the world using different IoT platforms, including the blink application. Things speak, UV dots IFtt, Google Assistant, Firebase, and Telegram, etcetera. If you're using any of these IoT platforms or any other IoT platform, then you can only control the devices when the controller port is connected with the Wi Fi. Why use Wi Fi when we are inside a room? We can use a Bluetooth supported Android application to control different electrical loads, or we can use an IR remote controller. I have already explained how to control different electrical loads wirelessly using the ESP32 built in Bluetooth module and an Android application.

This book presents several robust sliding mode protocols for achieving the formation and tracking of Quadcopter swarm for a given pattern. In entire book, the concept of leader-follower formation control of a multi-agent system is exploited for deriving the protocols and the graph theory is used to represent the communication between the Quadcopters. The book covers two types of formation protocols of the Quadcopter swarm namely, continuous-time sliding mode protocols and discrete-time sliding mode protocols. First, the continuous-time higher order sliding mode protocols using super-twisting algorithm are designed for formation using linear and non-linear models of Quadcopter. Then, the discrete-time sliding mode protocols using power rate reaching law, discrete-time super twisting algorithm, and exponential reaching law are presented. The protocols are thoroughly analysed for robustness, chattering, control effort, and convergence time for achieving the formation. Also, the stability conditions using the Lyapunov function are derived to ensure the stability of the swarm with each protocol. Further, each chapter includes extensive simulation and comparative studies to show the efficacy of each protocol. The book will be useful to graduate students, research scholars, and professionals working in the domain of civilian and military usage of the drone technology.

For a decade, with the uptake of 4G, we have become accustomed to the relentless increase in data and services on the move. The deployment of 5G is advancing crucial key performance indicators (KPIs), along with quality of service (QoS). Setting the horizon to 2030 and later, 6G will take the KPIs to numbers 100–1000 times better than 5G. Yet, the actual disruption of 6G and future networks (FN) will take place following other unprecedented paths. Artificial Intelligence (AI) will be exploited in a threadlike fashion, at any level of the network physical infrastructure. This will introduce, to date unknown features, like self-sustaining, self-evolution and high-resilience of small portions of the infrastructure, pioneering the concept of a network of networks. Each segment of the infrastructure will bear a high degree of independence, while working at the same time as a whole, in full orchestration with the rest of the network. Microtechnologies and nanotechnologies, intended with a broad meaning, which includes devices, systems (MEMS/NEMS) and materials, are identified as a crucial asset to trigger a new field of convergence, in which miniaturized HW components can be merged with AI technologies, helping to draw the paint of 6G and FN, still unknown to a relevant extent. In addition, the new paradigm of quantum computing is embodied in the discussion around the emerging quantum technologies.
